Std Rods with modified caps, Std Forged Pistons, 1612 cams, ARP rod and flywheel bolts......and a full spec Head!.
Just a basic rebuild somewhere around 200 horsepowers, see how it goes, while I save for the SCCR Box, steel rods, high comp pistons and SERIOUS cams.
Will thrash this round over the summer, then build the High Power unit over the winter

looks class im doing the same i've 4 XE's so one in the escort now and then build myself a 2.3 monster from one of the others over the year!!!

I thought there were problems with the vibration dampers on the crank with them?

Thats what I am looking at. 2.3ltr turbo block as it doesn't have the dampers. Or look at trying to source a 2.4ltr vortec block from the states, as used in forklifts etc. http://www.gm.com/experience/technol...Industrial.pdf
