1700 crossflow head gasket

I know you say "here we go again"

But has anyone fitted a VICTOR REINZ 6-24405-20 (as listed on ebay, amazon etc) on a 1700 crossflow

All the listing say for 1100, 1300,1600 and 1700cc!!.

Given that you can use the same headgasket on 81mm and 83mm bores, kinda tallies. Far as I recall it were the 1850cc with 85mm bores that require a different head gasket.

I've seen them fitted on 83.79mm engines (which is +0.110" over std xflow size and approx 1712cc).
They are very close to overhanging the bores in places though if not placed exactly - if you don't get the gasket exactly right and it moves while installing you may get an issue.

The partno. is 61-24405-20 and the Victor Reinz catalogue states it has a diametre of 83.5 mm.
So just on the limit for a 83.5 mm bore / 1700cc engine.
