    Barton's Escort Mk1 Project

Hey guys, got rid of the cortina and got myself this...

plans are to do this build properly

the shell will be receiving the full treatment, new floors, large gearbox tunnel, roof sorted (after damage the previous owner did with cage), possibly get it all linked/firewalled. the outside will be sorted, making sure bodywork is mint (if it works out easier and cheaper, orginal wing/arches will be re-fitted for a proper sleeper, then a respray in the awesome olympic blue it already is.

this is gonna take me a long time, but its all worth it, i love escorts

in the meantime, i shall be focusing on driving the mk4, and paying of debts

Looks like a good car to start with, but id have kept the Cortina and put a 1700 X-flow or Pinto in it, that was a sweet car

cheers guys, i may keep the arches, but they'll need some repair work to get sorted, and make sure they're not hiding any nasties

and the rear tubs i want re-done as they're not even, and look to have been rushed a bit

Nice project I do like that colour and consider keeping the arches, with the right wheels and ride height it will so right

yeah, its hopefully gonna be shown in classic ford too

the guy that has taken over is really trying to promote the fact he wants to make the company bigger and better than ever, and so is trying to arrange one of the company profile articles.

Went up to see the escort today

good thing is, they say i've done well and have a decent shell, so once there's been a few bits tidied up and all the new panels in, the shell will be mint

anyway, here's the pics i took...

shame that when it comes back, it'll only be the boot, doors and bonnet in the colour, lol

think it'll end up being olympic blue, but maybe a shade either way just to make it that little bit different.
