I've thought long and hard about this and owing to loss of interest, lack of progress, time etc I am going to sell up my Mk1.

Question is do I sell it as a whole or separately as individual parts?

Here is what I have:
Ford Escort Mk1 1971K

Shell

Painted diamond white inside, underside, under bonnet and in boot. Outside is 90% in white primer. Less than a days work and it will be ready for colour on the outside.

Modifications - New Magnum RS/Mexico Wings (part bolted on – need finishing), Fully Seam/Stitch Welded to Ford Rally Prep Book specs, Welded Seat Rails, Welded Strut Brace, firewalled, Six point Harness Mounts, Big Gearbox and Diff Tunnels, Turreted, Anti Tramp bar Mounts, Panhard Rod Mount, Six Point Safety Devices Cage, Alloy Fuel Tank Platform, Sump Guard Mounts, RS Crossmember cut out, Bulkhead strengthening plate, all RS Strengthening parts, chassis skids, front legs tubed for crossmember New alloy sump guard.

Shell was blasted before prep started and all repair work has been completed to a good standard, absolutely no rust or rot anywhere. New Front/Back Panels, Full length strut tops, outer cills and rear arches, slam panel, replacement outer rear tubs, wheel & tank wells, door skin, bulkhead sides, part inner cills only. No patchwork quilts here!

Trim

All glass, new Front lights & buckets, Used indicators, rear lights, grill, wiring loom, new alloy rad, New door and footwell cards, flocked dash, 130mph dash cluster, alloy centre console, spare wheel mounting post, S/H RS carpet. New black headlining, Twink vinyl back seat, New Suede Steering wheel, TRS Harnesses (out of date or rallying).

Rear End

Strengthened English axle with 4.4 plate type LSD with panard rod, shock & cosworth caliper mounts. New turreted Bilstein shocks and new single leafs, new anti tramps/panard rod all polybushed with new lowering kit and spring saddles.

Front End

Group 1 World Cup Bilstein Front Struts with new 260/60 inserts, new 190lb springs, New Roller Top Mounts, New Alloy Hubs/Bearings

New Gartrac Twin Cam Anti Roll Bar & Mounts, WCXM & Pinto Mounts, New in situ rose jointed adjustable TCAs, rebushed steering columns & new grp4 joint to new HD 2.4 Quick Rack & RS TREs. polybushed

Engines/Box

2l Pinto with Kent Cam, Alloy pulley etc – I have full spec from guy who I had it from off here somewhere.

2l pinto bottom end – rebored with new pistons, pump etc but will need checking over

Single 48 on lynx crossover manifold to suit. Twin 40 dellortos on manifold to suit.

Standard Type 9 5 speed box with quickshift. 2 new clutches.

RS Alloy Sump & Belhousing (both in VGC)

Other parts/spares

Arrow Bias pedal box & reserviors. Princess 4 pots (need build) with new spacer kit, 10 x RS alloys with Dunlop Rally tyres – some of which are new and unused. S/H oil cooler & hoses, fuel pump & regulator. Spare door. Rear multi-leafs. 2 x halfshafts. Pair of RS steering arms.

Car is 90% complete in terms of parts. Things I know are needed are seats, prop, rear brakes & lines, bumpers

What is this lot worth in todays money please?
