Can someone recommend an electric vac pump for brake servo.Ive installed a brake servo on my pinto engined mk 1 and its not making enough vacuum.From what I read this is often a problem on modified engines.thanks

how many manifold runners are you taking the servo vac from? i suspect your only using one, which is normally good enough, but on that cam i would expect you would need 2

It seems there are huge numbers of modern cars with vacuum pumps now.
Many...Mercedes, Volvo, Jaguar, VW Group etc all use this same pump. Oddly some sellers on ebay call it an aircon pump.....sometimes with cheaper prices so can be worth searching for dumb sellers.
Some are ecu controlled, some...who knows. Volvo seem to control some of theirs with a small 3 way tee piece with a vac switch built in. So if there isnt enough vacuum from the engine side, it will close a set of contacts so you can enable the pump via a relay.
