    Cosby YB rebuild questions/ help

    Just about to rebuild my 2wd sapphire turn engine as follows,
    rebore to as big as piston as avail.
    full balance and 4kg steel flywheel
    upgrade
    to approx 330 bhp
    so my questions as follows
    what compression ratio to aim for ?
    opening ports up as per Des Hammil book, but that indicates for n/a so will same apply for turbo ?
    turbo suggestions, running std at the mo
    injectors to use or kit- injectors/ map/ chip
    fancy the idea of cops ( looks neater ) or would waste spark be best option re ecu change ? I'm thinking on the cost of.
    one thing that may hinder things is I'm using 4wd exhaust manifold for space reasons plus didn't fancy shelling £1200 out for a stainless one!
    using std cams, timing of them using full lift method ( got verniers )
    any mods to plenum chamber without spending loads of cash for a fancy looking thing.
    any advise greatly appreciated

    reboring to biggest pistons will just make the block useless if it wears, go to smallest that makes good bore - the extra 5cc will not help a turbo motor. 330 yb motors are well trodden ground, i would just go with easyiest most reliable way ( very easy ). - not much into these so will leave to those that know best to advise

    I agree. For what you gain just add a tiny bit of extra boost instead and save your block for another rebore if needed in the future.
