    Mk2 RS2000 - 7.5" wheels in standard arches

    Evening all,

    Looking for some advice.

Got the opportunity to purchase some 7.5" Xpack wheels for my mk2 rs2000. Will these fit under standard arches?

Really love the look of these however not wanting to roll arches etc

    Thanks
    Neil

Agreed, 7.5" is just too wide for the Escort.

I have seen it done though, and the car had to sit really high to clear the arches.

I took these two photos at Donington at the RSOC day around 1993. Might help you somehow.
BTW these were also the first Escorts I'd seen with the 'Ford RS' cast alloy pinto rocker covers

I know (knew) both RS's from Germany, they visited our RSOC European Event in Baarlo.
The blue car has non-std arches front and rear
Both had 175/50 Pirelli P7F tyres which were more like 205/40 in real live and shortened rear axles.
Couple of years later FMC555V from the UK had 7.5 inch RS rims that were turned down at the back plus a shortened rear axle and 195/55 tyres.

    Thanks for the reply guys.

I've let the seller know I can't take them. Looking for a more aggressive stance on a standard RS2000 but don't want to modify the body work.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello mate

I’ve got 7x15” rs 4 spoke replicas on mine. Think they work really well. Have a look in the resto section. Silver harrier.

    Cheers

    Paul
