Import mk1 escort wiring question

Hi all,

my friend has a mk1 escort RHD South African import and he has problems with be wiring and it has been messed about with a lot. I was wondering if the UK and South African RHD standard looms are the same? I have emailed Autosparks and they have no idea. It’s just it would be cheaper to buy one from them than to get someone to rewire the car. How ever he prob won’t buy one if it had to be cut about to get it to fit.

i have tried googling it and I don’t think anyone has asked this before, anywhere because I can’t even see a comparison of wiring diagrams any where.

I had an Aussie import and the wiring was the same I don't think any of the foreign models were different apart from LHD ones?

Thanks for that, I just don’t have any way of comparing it to other mk1 escorts, will delve a little deeper myself.
