    World Cup crossmember

    Morning all,

I am looking to pull the trigger on a YB cosworth to fit in my mk2 rs2000 after viewing yesterday.

Need to pick up a World Cup cross member and wanted to know if it’s the standard version not the lowered rack that I should be after?

Also any recommendations on where to buy one from?

I’ll be doing a build thread when I get going but in the mean time I am stockpiling parts to hopefully kick it off later on this year.

    Cheers
    Neil

Anyone used this one? Assuming that because it’s a 205 block on the engine I am looking at it will fit?

Think you will need to check if the Cosworth sump fouls the crossmember.

We had to trim and then re-weld a good 1" off the rear edge of our wcxm to clear the Cossie 2wd sump.

Yes. Cosworth sumps are deep and have no wings. They can be fitted but as said the crossmember needs some trimming etc. People have used rs escort sumps aswell but you need to mod oil pump spray and pickup etc. It isn’t the greatest sump either. Personally I was going to get a cut back and big wing cosworth sump with baffles. Since changed engine plans though.
