New member!!
Hello all!
I've been a member on here for a little while but never had the chance to post.
Currently have a 1976 Mexico, that has been built and used as a stage rally car that used to be owned by another member here years ago by the name of Skids
I'm looking forward learning a lot about these amazing cars.

Re: New member!!
Welcome to turbosport.
Which state are you in?

Re: New member!!
The beautiful state of Oregon!
I assume you're in the states as well?
I was on the hunt for a Mk1/Mk2 Escort for many years, and never found any for sale in the states.
It took may years for me to finally buy the car I just got, and low and behold...the Mk1 popped up on BAT hahaha.
Timing is everything.

Re: New member!!
Hey.
Not in the states but I've been to a few of them.
Got some friends in Georgia.
Wasn't aware there were any escorts in the USA.
How did you come across yours?

Re: New member!!
The states never officially got the Escorts until the mid-80's...and they were far from exciting. No turbos, no RS'
Instead, we got the Ford Pinto (the car) and they were boxes of rubbish. Horrible cars.
All of the Mk1 and Mk2 Escorts in the US have all been imported in, from out of the country.
There's apparently quite a few around, but very rarely come up for sale.
I had been keeping an eye out on the various British and European car classified websites ( Car and Classic, etc. etc.) as that's where the majority of the cars are listed for sale.
I missed out on the chance to get many cars (2 mk1's and 6 Mk2's!!!) for sale due to ill timing on my part, and the fact all of the cars sold very quickly.
Luckily, the timing was right on my new purchase and I'm chuffed to bits.
