    Confused by new torque wrench

I just bought a new 22.1 to 154.9 ft lbs torque wrench....but im confused by the extra points on the numbers as ive only ever saw that on newton meters wrenches

For example i want to torque to 35ft lb but the nearest number is 29.5......does this mean i set the zero at 29.5 then turn the dial 5 and a half times to get 35ft lbs??

It has the newton meters on the other side and i can work that out easily enough...just means i need to use a conversion tool but i found one in the play store...heres what the manual says
    Measuring Ft/lbs
    Torque wrench set to70.84 ft-lb
    1. Unlock handle
    2. 66.4 ft-lb. Whole number
    3. 1 div. On handle= 0.74 ft-lb
    6 div.=4.44 ft-lb
    66.4 + 4.44= 70.84 ft-lb
    4. Lock handle.

I use 4/3 as a conversion factor (not exactly right but close enough).
If you need for example 30 lbft torque then that is 4/3 * 30 = 40 Nm.

I think you are getting ft lb and lb ft mixed up, they are different measurements. Sorry I can't help on anything else with your torque wrench.

    Confused by new torque wrench

From the instructions it's just a case of making up the number from the nearest number lower on display and then working out how many increments.
Usually for 84 this would be 80 and 4 tenths on a metric scale but the scale is odd ( imperial ? I can't see the post while replying on phone )
Edit each division is near 3/4 lb ft rather than 1 😄
