    2.0 Pinto on 40's question...

I have a question bout my Mk2 escort. Its a 2.0 pinto on 40 webbers.
I but in a new engine which has twin 40's on it. It wouldnt take the trottle or tick over when i fitted it.
I took of the carbs, left them steepin in redex and petrol mixture for a few days and blew them out.
I refitted them with new gaskets.
Now it will tick over perfectly, it will rev perfectly smooth when at a stand still, but it sorta bogs down when your driving (wont reve up say past 2000rps and no power).
There is prob a simple solution. Can Anyone tell me what to do or check or have any solutions.

Make sure the aux chokes are properly seated as these are fixed on 40's by the trumpet.
