    2.8 blocks? What are the variants?

    I'm new to the v6 world, how many variants are there of the 2.8 colonge block and whats the difference and interchangeability?

    as far as im aware there are only two varients, early ones had a smaller camshaft front bearing

    yeah blocks are the same other than camshaft bearing. I stuck a sierra 4x4 block in my turbo technics capri.

    Though I did have to swap the front covers on the block where the water pump bolts on.

    Did you buy that engine and stuff? Looks like a very good deal
    For all those parts you would definitely pay far more than £ 1000,- over here. I'm a bit jealous now...
