just wondered what the differences are with a 1800 and 2000 pinto heads and cams?can see the inlet ports are different as well as the combustion chamber.can a 2000 head go on a 1800 block?ta

sure it will fit, might have higher compression, measure for valve to piston contact !
you will need to check that the exhaust valve does hit the side of the cylinder wall, AND the 2.0 combustion chamber doesn't over hang the head gasket/bore, you might also find you have a low compression ratio
never thought about valve the wall .

i dont know, but i do know big exhaust valves in a 1600 will hit the cylinder wall
just out of interest why do you want to put an 2.0 head on a 1.8 anyway?
got a complete 1800 and havent used it for 10 15 yrs and thought i would do a headgasket and stem seals.looked at the ports and then compared them to a 2ltr had which is ready to go and wondered if they fitted.
yes it will physically fit, more than that i cant say.
perhaps i will just put the 1.8 head back on this time
