oil cooling on cosworth yb stage 3 who's done what?

technical question for a Thursday afternoon

the engine package i bought came with a mocal 13 row oil cooler with 5/8 bsp fittings sadly the threads stripped on the cooler so need to get a new one so do i go bigger or stick with the 13 row?

the sandwich plate doesn't have the built in thermostat so i don't want to go to say a 19 row cooler and the oil never gets up to temp.

the car will just be for the road highly doubtful it will see any track days

or do i go back to what's fitted from factory with the modine water cooler? i have a sandwich spacer with sensor take offs so not sure if it would work with the modine unit

    any info would be helpful

    cheers

If you're never going to track the car....standard will be more than adequate for the job.

Also, if you've not got the room for the standard modine and then your take-off plate, consider fitting the 4x4 oil housing extension and fit you take-off plate and filter on the end of there instead. It might give you a bit more room; I found I had to do that with mine.
