Mk1 Escort Brake Set Up With Twin 45 DCOE Carbs

I thought I would let the community know that I found a neat solution for adding dual circuit brakes without servo on a MK1 Escort, with webers.

I used a Mk1 Fiesta brake master cylinder for a 1300 Non Servo model.

    The mounting pattern is identical.

Had to shorten the pushrod by about 20mm.

The reservoirs are remote mounted using reservoir with push on spigot from Motorsport Tools.

    10mm fuel line.

14mm to 10mm reducer for connection into master cylinder, one straight and one 90 deg elbow.

    Packages very nice.

There are 2 M10 ports for the front brakes, and 1 M10 port for the rear brakes.

The spare M12 port in the rear circuit was plugged with a bleed nipple.

    additional picture.

The pushrod was made from an M10 bolt turned to size, and a purchased M10 clevis fork.
