    Oil Pressure Sender torque.

I have a slight oil leak from the oil pressure sender on my 2.0L black top.

Happy to remove & reinsert but.......

    1. Is it a tapered thread
    2. Do I use PTFE on the thread?
    3. How tight do I do it up?

    Thaks in advance

More than likely a tapered thread. You'll see when you take it out!
Ptfe wouldn't do any harm just wind it on the right way round, about 7-10 turns will do it.
Nip it up, start it and see if it needs any more

Bloody hell - you got shares in a PTFE manufacturer! Shouldn't need more than 2 or 3! Liquid PTFE is usually recommended for taper threads especially if the threads can cut bits off the tape and into the oil / lube system........doesn't stop me using tape though!

No shares mate! It's just plumbing being my trade it's what I've found to be an optimum amount of tape to stop weepage and it's very thin so won't be any problems starting the thread into the block.
Won't get into oilways if you don't get tape over the sender hole.
    Good luck

Ah - Plumber that explains it LOL! As a taper thread it is effectively self sealing.
