    Cossy cuts out when driving

Escort Cossy, large turbo version, completely standard car, when driven "normally" no problem at all but when you give it some juice it seems / feels like it is hitting a rev limiter way too far down the rev range, if you lift off she settles down again.

And on the odd occasion it will simply cut out altogether whilst being driven, the car's momentum allows you to simply bump start it as you are moving and off you go.

Any pointers / suggestions greatly received as to what might be going AWOL?

    Cheers

    Ross

On cossies i always check the ignition system first as this is the cause of almost all the probems i've had with mine.

Check dizzy cap and rotor arm first, then plugs, leads etc.

I got one of those kits off ebay, new leads, dizzy cap, rotor arm, phase sensor, group a coil and plugs and it made a big difference. No more hessitation or random missfires.

If i had the money i'd be getting one of those wasted spark kits they do.
