Mk2 Escort Horn Wiring Problem

Hi

my horn has packed up and i need to test the switch. What colour are the wires that go to the switch? I have a wiring diagram in the Haynes manual but the print is so tiny that i can't see what the colours are

I've tested the horn and that works fine but i can't trace a live anywhere. I figured that i might as well start at the switch. Any other suggestions??

hi, ive not long gone through the wiring on a mk1, so urs wont be much different. try the fuse box first, them crappy fuses were always letting me down with bad contacts. ive now moved on to the blade type, and found them far more reliable. really cant remember the colour, all i can remember is that it is different at the switch than it is at the horn itself. am also sure that it shares its live feed with something else, get urself a little multimeter ad get prodding!

As above, twiddle (technical term) all of the fuses in the fuseholder, I'd bet you've got a bad connection in there.
