Duratec 2.5 VVT removed, What cams?

I am going to put the Duratec 2.5 engine in the Lotus Elise/Exige in the next weeks/months as the 2.0 is smoking like a 2 stroke.

The VVT will be removed and disabled, 2.0 cam cover will be put on, etc.

Anyone does this already and what cams did you use? any cams from the 2.0/2.3 will fit but I hope somebody already did the work to find out what works best with standard internals.

It's a very vague question which is probably why no-one has answered.
You cam an engine to suit the spec and how you want it to perform which you haven't said.
If you can control the VVT then keep it.

Deltona, I do not think it is very vague, only a little

I am just wondering who used what replacement cams on a standard 2.5 engine when VVT is deleted. Always easier to listen to people who did it then reinventing the wheel once more.

Graham, It is a beautifull system, but as I am going to use it as a trackday engine and have seen some faults with it. I want to prevent any issues related to VVT.
