"if its too loud, you're too old!"
Cheers for all the comments lads.
I lacking motivation at present, all seems to be at a stand still. The car moves rightly even tough i've only done about 10 miles in it since the install. Weather here is just depressing. Would probably get alot more use out of a boat instead of a car.
hello mate i c u r in sligo not to far from me as im in donegal ,did u do ur st conversion urself or did u get sumbody to do it as ive the same idea in mind myself,is the much futtering to it??
Hi just read through your thread there , excellent car fair play !!
I'm not too far from you either I'm in Galway
Did it myself ya. Theres the usual bits and pieces you get with any install, where to mount things etc. Retro ford make life so much simpler with the water rail and mounts. Where in Donegal are ya from? I live in grange, if ya want to see the car anytime let me know. I,ll be at the Radisson on Sunday for the Neal Egan run if your around it would be worth a visit.
great build mate
Hello
I was just searching in the internet and came across you post, your beautiful mk2 escort.
I have an mk1, also with a ST170 engine, but if you can help with something it would be great.
At the moment my engine is stock (only lighter flywheel, and alu crankshaft), but my major problem is the fuel pump, can i use the stock one or replace with some RED FACET 7PSI (bought to fit a pinto engine, but gave up that), i have 2 of them. In you car you also have 2, therefor my question.
Hope to hear from you soon
Cheers

The thread is 9 years old and the OP hasn't been back to the site for nearly 5 - so chances of an answer are remote!
But you cannot use an EFI stock pump with carbs - especially bike carbs! A single red top Facet would suffice but require a good regulator also and bike carbs do not have good float needles - 2psi pressure is sufficient!
