    pinto inlet short turn

    Hi all when modifying the short turn on inlet port on a carbi head 2 litre how wide can it be made with a flat floor 36mm or more wider can some one advise me please cheers Mario.

    I think the first thing to do is work out the valve size and have the port throat under the valve seat opened out leaving the correct valve seat size.
    cutting out the port throat will cut in to the short side turn and this will be blended in to the port work from the other direction.
    this is nearly my understanding and as always I bow to those with much much more experience and understanding.
