Re: insurance cost on a 2.0 mk2
My modified mk2 2 door, arched caged, pretty much a full grp4 car, agreed value ect.
Renewal was £260 for me and my dad I’m 29, that was with brentacre insurance.
I have moved and now pay £390 and that includes 6 trackdays for me and my dad. This is with REIS Richard Egger insurance. Very nice company to deal with, and they know a lot about cars.

Went with flux - £125 with breakdown cover plus an extra 15 when I complete the agreed value.
Bad news was that Tax was 255 a year as its a 1980 mk2 😂

Just insured my MK1, cosworth conversion, agreed value 20k, 2000 miles a year, including track day use: £285 with REIS.

Re: insurance cost on a 2.0 mk2
Pay about £105 with Performance Direct for a Mk2 RS. All mods notified, garaged and 49 years old.

Re: insurance cost on a 2.0 mk2
Im about £200 with Adrian FLux
2.0 Pinto, arched, caged and all mods noted with agreed value and 20 years no claims
Thinking about getting trackday insurance added to though so will likely go up a fair bit
