    Cleaning engine components

I have a Sierra Cosworth crank that I wanted cleaning up. Having used a local vapour blasting company with excellent results so far they said its not recommended due to the crank being balanced etc.
Is this correct as they can do the Pistons, rods, block and head without any issue.

    How are people doing there's?

    Thanks

a vapour blaster wont ever effect teh balence, but maybe they are nervous about causing damage to a ground surface.

ive got a couple of parts washers, one being basically an industrial sized dishwasher,

if you doing it at home a bucket brush and some petrol or diesel will do as good a job as anything. pipe cleaners ( use 2 or 3 together) are very handy for making sure there's no crap stuck in an oil way
