My car has been using its dry sump setup for 5 years with no major issues. The sump I use is a standard Escort sump modified to dry sump specs by David Hunter Motorsports. I then further modified it to give it better clearance over the steering rack.
I am constantly chasing pin hole leaks in the thing. Partly in the areas that I modified but also in other areas. The last time I repaired it I coated the inside with POR15 to try to seal the smallest of leaks. All good until I went to put the gearbox in today when I noticed a small leak again. The POR15 on the inside was stopping the worst of it but a whole is a whole.
Rather than flog a dead horse I am considering either a Titan or a Pace alloy dry sump pan. I have no hands on knowledge of either so am wondering what your views are on them??? I have been told they leak (not sure if that person meant the outlets, the gasket or both. They are expensive so I cannot afford to go that route unless they are worst the sheckles.
Any clearance issues with various rod/bolt combos? (I have standard stroke with Cossie rods & ARP bolts).
If anybody has a diagram of the dimensions I would love to see it.
Pace or Titan?
