Sparco bucket seat repair

Hello,
have a pair of Sparco bucket seats, both have a small crease (spelling ?) on the top, see pic.
Anyone have an idea how to repair it?

I have had this problem before and I just use needle and thick black thread, it does the job but maybe someone has a better solution????

Didn't it tear up the fabric where you put the black thread through?

No but I did not over tighten the stitch or put too many in it (as it will weaken the fabric)
