Clearly the problem with the carb accounts for one and two now not running but prior to this the carbs were stripped and blown out and working OK, new plugs will of helped but doesn’t account for changing cylinders, ie firing on one and four then one and two, I remain confused but it is running now so I am happy. (I never had any problems 40 years ago!) thanks for all your help.
