I know there are a few people here running forced induction so its worth an ask...

What are you using for knock detection during engine set up?

My supercharged duratec is going into a locost, so its not possible to physically hear knock over the wind and exhuast noise, so I need some reliable system of monitoring the engine during mapping.

I have seen this:

Which shows a good homemade method which looks plausible, whether it is or not I dont know until I try it. Its probably the most reliable way though?

I also know of the Phormula systems, which I think will be good for low rpm knock detection, but may struggle with the high rpm stuff. But would probably be good as a monitor once the engine is set up.

Any ideas?
