    Limited Slip Diff Movement

Potentially a stupid question, but I've only had the one LSD in my hands so have no comparison. Probably going to be one for anyone who's torn down their own box really..

Is the "inner" portion of the LSD meant to have play/move about slightly?

Best pic i can do for now - i mean this bit inside the holes of the outer casing, essentially the bit the two inner CV's slide into.

    Hope that makes sense

    Thanks

Are you taking about the planet gears where the drive shaft goes? There will be a little play in them, depends what your definition of a little play is tho.

Didn't know the correct term, but yer definitely where the inner cv/driveshafts go. At a guess, I'd say theres around 10deg of play. It feels excessive, but I didn't/don't really know what to expect, hence thought i'd ask about
