Has anyone fitted a hydraulic handbrake 0.625 via pushrod to welded flange on to an original escort mk2 handbrake ?
Cars fitted with cosy rear calipers
Is it best to just Fit in series with rear brake line

Be aware. A hydraulic handbrake is an MOT failure. I would suggest you retain the cable handbrake and add a vertical hydraulic handbrake. It's not hard. You basically split the rear brake line and run it through the new hydraulic handbrake. That's the system I am employing with mine. Motor sport tools supplied everything I need.
Just got my 0.625 cylinder from them :-) was gonna keep original and use push rod from top of it so no extra levers
Not sure how much movement i will need so they don’t interfere with each other

It’s not an mot failure as long as the mechanical linkage is used for the handbrake

Use the system but retain the standard cable

I’m also using a cosworth electric brake booster accumulator set up I know colr6 was after info but I can’t log in other site for some reason 🙄
