    Best alternator for xflow ?

    As title
My xflow is not the best at starting but as soon as i put jump leads on it spins over easily
I'm going to get new battery cables made up for starters but I'm thinking that 11.8v just isn't enough

What would be the best alternator to use ?

    Thanks,Bill

is that 11.8v running? or the voltage your measuring when cranking?

this should help working out whether you need new cables and if so which ones

11.8 running sound like no charging at all, thats about what i'd expect to see with the car running off just the battery with the battery in a low state of charge

And at cranking, the alternator will have little if any effect. But it looks like the alt. regulator is goosed anyway, so, subject to your total electrical loads, most people would get away with any alt between 45 - 60A output
