Exhaust manifold heat wrap
Has anybody actually manage to wrap their manifold while on the car?
Not it sure if it’s a stupid question but to get my manifold off and out I’d need to lift or drop my engine as the fit is so tight, so just just thinking, can it be done in situ?

yeah plenty have done it on the car, not sure why you would want to though, for the most part all it does it rot exhausts and make the engine hotter internally, i know people that have dyno'd cars with and without it and lot power with!

Not that I wrapped mine insitu but when I did it saved my clutch cable. Without it they would melt within about half an hour. It kept the under bonnet temperature down a lot..

Mines been wrapped 13 years ,did it in situ . . . . and thats on a cheap £100 ASHLEY Exhaust , just used some welding wire to secure it , and its still there
It looks pretty , but the reason was it was bubbling the inner wing and clutch cable
Ive also wrapped the clutch cable . . . .
