    X-pack rear arches

    HI

As well as all the other bits and bobs i'm doing to my Mk2 at the moment and the impending spray job i thought i should remove the rear arches. I've never take them off before but from what little i can see underneath it looks ok. A few repairs will need doing but nothing major.

My question is this - what is the best way to stick them back on? At the moment they are rivetted and skimmed over with filler. Looks ok but on cold days (weirdly) you can see where the rivets are.

I've heard that they can just be bonded on but is this right? If so what stuff should i use?

    Cheers

when i've fitted GRP panels i use GRP resin to bond them on, and always remove the rivets, or screws holding the panel in place .. if you want an easy join, get the arches with the mounting flange thats hidden below the arch, this can then be bolted and resined into place
