    100e popular engine swap

hi all im thinking of changing my engine in my 100e, it currently has a 1300 xflow flow in it with a 4 speed box and 105e back axle.

i want to change the engine for something more modern and reliable and something i can put the miles on.

at the moment i am thinking of a duratec but have also been suggested a nissan swap.

im trying to way up the different costs/benefits of each engine, gearbox, prop, ecu etc as my budget is quite small so i want to see if it is even possible for me.

any advise or costs for me

    tia ed

a lot will depend on how much more power etc your looking for, not to mention your abilities to deal with engine management systems

a sigma se is probably a good choice, very light

on the other hand an x/f isnt an unreliable engine, so a mild 1600 x/f with electronic ignition and new carb should be pretty bullet proof and fairy rapid , swap the gearbox out for a t9 and you have a nice package
