    RS steering wheel renovation. Hub rubber sleeve removal

    Hi all.

    I have an RS 3 spoke wheel (as fitted to Mk1, MK2 and some Capris) and i want to know if there is a way to remove the rubber boot covering the ribbed welded on boss/hub? I cant get it off and i dont want to damage it.

    You should be able to get it off via the back of the steering wheel (hub-side).
    Heat the rubber a bit using a hair-dryer and/or use some baby-powder on the ribs.
