70's Mazda, 5 link and English axle
I’m looking to fit an English axle on the rear of my ’76 Mazda 323 but can’t decide how best to go about it.
The car is “5 linked”as standard (along the lines of a Chevette) in that the lower locating links actually hold the spring with separate upright shocks along with two shorter cranked upper links.
The plan is to fit turrets for coil-overs, to do away with the heavy lower arms and spring, so the question is do I just make up unequal length link rods to replace the originals in their current position or go the whole hog and fit link boxes to get the equal length link rods?
Would I realistically tell the difference between either setup?
Thoughts and comments greatly appreciated

What's the intended use ? For road I would use original points for sure.

Although it'll be used on the road it'll basically be a tarmac stage car type build so I can use it for the occasional sprint/ hill climb, track day and stage event.
