    Measuring for a new prop

I now have my new Atlas fitted in the car and i need to measure for a new prop, running a T5 gearbox and engine is on a standard x-member.

Do I need the car on the floor so there is weight on the axle to measure for the correct length or will it make no difference as it is currently on stands so no weight on the rear wheels at all.

Jack the car up and put the axle stands under the axle and lower. You then have the same result as the cars ride height but you can get under the car. I measure from the end of the gearbox to the axle flange for my prop. They worked out the rest fitted a treat.
