junk the pistons, you'll be lucky if they stay together at 9k and fit a steel flywheel double dowelled.standard mains bolts would be ok, spend the money on proper pistons. 234 cam

STD crank, not a chance to keep it alive at that rev, even at 8k.
and I'll run away when I see "Supplier: Specialised Engines", 2 mates had several engine failures with engine from them, they mix conrods type in same engine !
Your A6 cam doesn't match the whole thing. I had that cam with an all steel engine, rev at 8.5K. This cam is a old design but for me, it worked well.

i somewhat disagree on the crank, ive known people run std 1300 cranks to 9K, and yes forget the std pistons, they wont like the revs or compression, machined twin cam pistons could be the way to go

1300 crank no good for 8k, its ticking over at that. get some 1100 rods, a short flat top piston machined or not to suit the CR you require and you can fit any cam you want. the old cosworth cams still work well,i ran an A8 with high lift rockers in my 1860 but for road rallies unless you have very low gearing you need a milder choice obviously hence the 234 suggestion which i have used previously in 1300's with good results. high compression, high revs and lots of advance (with ignition to suit) will make a surprisingly quick engine if done right

Std crank but balanced will be OK I guess, forged pistons are the way to go (lighter and stronger)

Flat pistons and head with chambers works also !
