Either way Righ or wrong
I have a 2.0L EFI pinto engine and have just changed the idle control valve I fitted it the way it came off but recently seen a phot of an EFI engine that had the idle control valve facing the opersite way to the way I have done it but the one in the photo made sense the way it was fitted because it didn’t obstruct the throttle position sensor is this the way it should face or dosent it matter either way

Re: Either way Righ or wrong
without a picture we cant know what way round you have it fitted, BUT which ever way round it is it would still function the same so i dont see an issue

Re: Either way Righ or wrong
Thanks Graham I would of put a phone on but I am not that technical I should of added the wires were facing the front of the engine it is now facing the rear as I said I thought that was the correct way because it gives you access to the throttle position sensor but Faceing forward it shields the sensor not being familiar with the engine I wasn’t sure if it was right or not as you have pointed out it doesn’t make any difference to the way it’s fitted
