I think you only have one rubber and its steel plate, the one at the bottom ois nly used.
When I added lowering block, I removed one rubber because you have one piece steel that doesn't need anymore.
axle-bock-leaf spring-rubber at the bottom and steel, then the plate to hold the 2 U bolts
the issue I had : re-drill the block to be able to center it correctly onto the pin on the leaf spring.

leave the rubber saddles out all together, axle location is better that way

Hi graham read a few posts and get conflicting answers.

currently got from top down axle block .leafspring rubber then the shock mount plate.

so i can go axle block leaf spring shock saddle.

i gather your way theres no rubber to crush up against giving a better purchase for block and spring.

    cheers murf.

Leaving the rubber pads out is nothing to do with purchase - its about eliminating flexibility which produces uncontrolled movement between components which is not what you want with a competition vehicle. The penalty is increased noise from road, tyres, axle through the body.

normally they are either two rubbers or no rubbers, even for spirited road use i would still say no rubbers

the issue I had is I can't really locate correctly the block with the rubber, that's why I removed only one.
The one at the end is like a genuine setup, so it didn't distrub I thought at that moment.
I use polybush, a little bit more stiffer than rubber. Steel against steel afraid me, but as you said it works. So next time...
