Part number for VR Crank sensor for C20XE

    Hello
im running a NODIZ pro gen2 ecu setup with my c20xe on 45 Weber’s.
In order for the ecu to pick up crank signal, I have to use a vr crank sensor and not a hall type.
does anyone have a part number for a vr type sensor so I can order one?
    cheers

Wrote seven eBay suppliers. None of them knew if their sensors were either the hall or vr type.
it must be common knowledge somewhere as anyone who runs a redtop has to have the right one for their car.
its just one small depressing obstacle after another sometimes.

true, but somethings VR sensors have shielding which is connected to a 3rd pin.
but i can safely say xe does not use a hall effect cranksensor

    Thanks for the reply guys.
Had tried two that came with engines and neither worked with the nodiz ecu. Buying a new one online now, and hopefully it does.
Apparently some ages of xe had a hall crank sensor. Well so says the motorsport electronics feller.
I get 0.008 volts on the meter out of one if I flash a screw driver in front of it, apparently they are supposed to give out 2 volts, so maybe that’s been the issue.
I’ll let you all know if it works.

You best check the output with an oscilloscope. Multimeter is too slow to "see" the voltage spike.

Surely it doesn't matter about which VR sensor you use as long as it is compatible with the ECU. The only issue is fitting to your engine. The ford ones are pretty cheap to buy. I have used one off a ford fiesta on MSquirt and worked fine. Make sure it fits close enough to the trigger wheel.
