Re: Rattling noise coming from clutch
Sounds release bearing to me, but then in an extreme case it could be the gearbox.

The car changed gear ok ...should i try tightening the clutch cable more or is it a box out and bearibg replacement?

Rattling noise coming from clutch
I would try the cable first....worked for me.
Otherwise as above, sounds like thrust bearing.

Re: Rattling noise coming from clutch
I seem to have fixed it by tightening the cable up further but now i have horrendous vibration everytime i turn the steering wheel....it looks like the sump is hitting the steering rack...now i need to figure out how to fix that

Rattling noise coming from clutch
Nice 1. Simple, cheap fix. Try lifting engine slightly at the mountings with washer or two then make a spacer to the required thickness....again this worked for me
