    wiring up esc/edis

    hi guys i.m just about ready to start wiring the engine up. i'm gonna start with a esc/edis and loom just to get it started and running. can i use the coil wiring to power it up and just earth it unit? i have no idea so i need help please.

    Im about to start to do the same thing, down the road in Bridgend. may be two heads are better than 1.

    theres an important advantage to edis to remember here guys. if you omit the ecu signal wire to edis PIN 3 (run it via a plug you can pull) then edis will revert to limp home mode. this will give you a fixed 10 degree advance. not prfect to run on but perfect to trouble shoot with. basicaly pull the plug and run edis in limp mode thus eliminating your ecu (megajolt etc) , if it wont run then the ecu is NOT at fault ! once its running plug to full maped mode and test the new ign ecu setup.
