Brakes - Princess calipers Vs M16

    OK.

So i have asked this question before and was steered towards Caprisport kits which are way out of my budget at the moment.

So i want to return to this with some serious questions on performance vs cost from those that have had either or both caliper types.

So i am planning on running vented 2.8i discs up front. I have (I have been VERY lucky on ebay) to hand a good used pair of M16 and overhaul kit (new seals, pistons e.t.c.) and also a very good condition pair of Princess 4 pots (AP marked).

So looking around i cant find much information on the breaking force. The M16 has two less pistons but a larger piston area compared to the 4 pots of the Princess calipers.

I can find pads easily for the ford setup but the princess pads are getting harder to find (unless another type fit?).

Any advise would be great as the bling side of me wants the 4 pots...My head is saying stick to the ford set-up.

I've got the big Granada Mk2 M18 calipers (like a m16 but with the larger pad size) and a remote servo on my Corsair. Have to say they work better than my modern does.

No sorry, I bought them from ebay listed incorrectly as Capri calipers years ago. They were reconditioned, but didn't come in boxes. The pads are 98mm long so are easy to identify. The calipers are quite hard to find now. The Cortina shaped p100 and the mk3 Cortina Estate used the same caliper but in unvented disc form.
