Escort fast road setup from scratch

I've read a lot of posts on here and am struggling a bit with my options so thought i'd throw my project open to the world and ask for some advice!!

I am building a fast, fun, road-focussed mk2 from a grp4 shell, it is turreted and I will be using a 4-linked 52" atlas and a watts linkage. 13" wheels, tarmac arches.

I have started with a bare shell so have the opportunity to do whatever I want and do it right. Having said that, budget is not unlimited so a nice matching set of 4x Reiger coilovers at £6,000 is not an option! I do need to buy everything from scratch though.

    So far I have:

    Shell
    Axle & LSD
    4-link
    Watts
    Engine (Duratec)
    Box (Rocket) & Bellhousing

I've not chosen suspension. I really want adjustable dampers, I live in a very rural part of the highlands so my local roads are bumpy, twisty, narrow and generally badly surfaced. A perfect setup for me would be akin to an early elise - great ride but very controlled damping. Obviously I can muck about with spring rates to get that correct but damping is important (perhaps, more so). I definitely don't want track spec, rock hard coilovers suited for super smooth, beautifully finished tarmac.

Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks in advance

    Cheers

I have been looking at these:

    Front:
    https://www.motorsport-tools.com/esc...ers-short.html

    Rear:
    https://www.motorsport-tools.com/gaz...-absorber.html

Any thoughts on the GAZ stuff? Obviously at the cheaper end, how is the quality?

Allow for narrowing the Capri axle down to 47 / 48" or big arch extensions (may float your boat?)

Cheers but my shell already is turreted with watts linkage towers, 4 link boxes and no spring hangers so would be daft to not use them!
