Head gasket set. What brand and where to buy
Can anyone recommend a sensibly priced head gasket set (Not Cometic as i am not building a highly strung engine). I am building basically a GT spec engine and dont trust the ones i see on ebay.
Burton was my first choice but as i live in Germany they was 20 quid postage!
I have looked locally but am unable to find a set. Only individual gaskets and thats just a PITA i dont need
Cheers

nothing wrong with ebay if you careful as to which brand of gasket you have, any of the following will be plenty good enough,
victor rienze, elring, payne, goetze

Try Timms Autoteile in Duisburg.

Payen were a good gasket brand to use back in the day. These can be obtained from Engine Parts (UK) Ltd.

Autodoc (a large online shop) also lists Victor Reinz, Goetze and others. They are a German company so might be a good option for you?
You may need to check for a Sierra in their application list but the head gasket is the same.

Sierras run pintos and i failed to clarify i was after crossflow... but thanks for the heads up. It does seem like the norm here is seperate parts and not a complete set...

Sorry, I thought I read Pinto...
However, Autodoc lists gasket for Escort 1.6 X-flow too. Only AJ Usa brand though.
Motomobil may be a good bet too.
