Re: Escort mk2 Harrier
Harriers didn’t have top plates on the strut tops and look in the boot for the spare wheel strap bracket on the floor, same as rs2000 and Mexico’s. And look at the landing panel for the plate platinum harrier rhs

Re: Escort mk2 Harrier
Plus the vin tag should be in the drivers side inner wing not the landing panel

Re: Escort mk2 Harrier
A Harrier built in 79 will have the chassis plate on the LHS of the slam panel as you look under the bonnet from the front. A Harrier built in 1980 will have its chassis plate on the O/S inner wing in front of the strut top. A 79 chassis plate should be black and silver, a 1980 chassis plate is silver and a little larger than the 79 plates. All harriers should have the build plate on the RHS of the slam panel. A few things to look for are Bronze Triplex Glass, the headlining and C pillar covers should be putty colour and perforated. Remote control mirror on drivers side and brake check switch, with these cars being around quite a while now quite a few have lots of there telltale harrier bits missing, vehicle history helps to prove the paperwork, hope this helps.

Re: Escort mk2 Harrier
As far as I know sunroofs were not fitted at the factory but Ford dealers could either fit them or have a local company fit them for you before you took delivery of your new or used toy.
