I would consider going to a 2.2 or even 2.4 litre engine (tho' you will need a more expensive crank for that).
We just about made 200 bhp at the wheels from our 2 litre using L1/DA10 cams, a very well ported head, and with fuel injection - which helped keep the whole thing flexible and driveable.

thanks guys that motor looks trick
im actually over in australia the na isnt so big over here its just the cossie turbo
do u recomend turbo or na 1 for reliability and 2 for cost whats better
i have a pinto bottem end 200 and 205 block over here r expensive if u come across 1 u dont usually
will the pinto take 200 plus hp at the tyres
what would it cost me to get my head up 2 the kind of specs for some nice power???

There is an excellent book that will be a great reference for your project : The Ford SOHC "Pinto" and Sierra Cosworth DOHC Engine High - Performance Manual by Des Hammill.

It covers Pinto bottom ends with Cosworth heads, and explains just about everything you need to know. It all used to confuse me until I read this book.

I just stumbled across a download of this book in the Download section (funnily enough!!)

It'll save you buying the book.

    Sorry for the drift but:
Is that remote filter plumbed to the return line or the feed to the engine?

You guys must have great dyno's over there as there is no way we'd see 200rwhp from L1/DA10 cams

The filter would be coming from the pump and out to the feed into the engine. You can see the oil line running round the back of the head and into the main oil feed on the block.
