Mk1 discs... Can they be fitted with 2.8i vented?

    Hi all.

I have the option to buy some reasonably priced mk1 hubs, discs and calipers.

They are said to be from an RS but im assuming one of the GT models.

Currently the discs aresolid and i want to know if its possibleand easy to fit 2.8i capri vented discs onto them (i have a set of wide M16s).

    Cheers.

Yes is the answer, but make sure the bearings fit you existing stub axles I think RS 2000 ones have bigger bearings. The other thing to watch for is the disks get very close to the track rod end. You also need some spacers that would have come with the m16 solid spacer kit. These center up the caliper up to the wider vented disk.

I did this on my anglia but then moved to wilwoods for an Rs2000 with some adjustment of things.

Another thought what legs are you intending to fit them to if they are drums i could not say they will.
