    Ashley manifold

    Which is better for a fr30 cam ,10.5 to 1 45.7 inlet valve with std ex valve with twin 40,s
    Ashley 2in with 1inch 1/2 primarys OR
    Ashley 2in 1/4 with 1inch and 3/4 primarys
    Cannot find a 1in and 5/8 as suggested by RWD thread

    the smaller bore ashley stuff will do just fine

    The small tube (complete welded, not slip in) manifold is far the best for lower power engines. It will give more torque. Even on engine round 170 Bhp, they are still competitive against the larger bore because of the extra torque at lower RPM. Despite it does start to choke the power at this point but don't expect more than 2 or 3 Bhp gain by using big bore at this level.
